YUMMY ~ Pumpkin Bread

With the holidays coming up quickly I thought what better to blog about then my favorite holiday treat!

Recipe:


3 1/2 cups flour

1/2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon nutmeg

2 teaspoons cinnamon

2 cups canned pumpkin
1 cup salad oil

2/3 cup water

4 eggs

3 cups sugar

Nuts, raisins, or dates may be added.


Sift all dry ingredients. Combine all liquids and slowly add to dry ingredients stirring all the time until smooth. Add nuts, and/or raisions if desired. Grease 4 one pound coffee cans and fill half full. Bake at 350° for one hour. Each loaf serves 8 to 10 people.
